Airtasker, an Australian-based trusted community platform that connects people who need to outsource their tasks to the right people, tasked us with the job of creating their first major UK campaign and launching them into the British stratosphere.
So launch them we did, by bringing to life the amazing feeling of getting tasks ticked off your to-do list, which is exactly what our 90s loving TVC hero, Dan, does. Bursting with enthusiasm for FINALLY having somewhere to display all of his awesome 90s memorabilia, but somewhat entirely lacking in the DIY department, Dan uses Airtasker to get wooden den-assembling, furniture-building, getting-it-done extraordinaire Rosie to bring his den, and his dreams, to life. Airtasker? More like YEAHtasker!
WITH HIS DREAM-DEN ASSEMBLED, DAN CELEBRATES IN THE ONLY WAY HE KNOWS HOW - WITH EXPRESSIVE DANCE. HE BODY POPS THE ‘YEAH-TASKER’ INTO AIRTASKER WITH A VISUAL FEAST OF ‘RUNNING MANS’, A SPRINKLING OF ‘HELLO JOHN’S’, A DASH OF ‘BART SIMPSONS’ AND, OF COURSE, A BIG OL’ MIC DROP FOR DESSERT
The campaign comes after the Airtasker partnership with Channel 4 Ventures, with a £3.5m investment in a ‘media for equity’ deal. The main 30’ TVC will be supported with cut downs.
Beyond TV, the “Airtasker Yeahtasker” campaign will also be integrated in multiple touch points across owned, earned, and paid marketing channels.
The new creative is scheduled to break in the hugely popular cross-generational show The Great British Bake Off on Tuesday the 24th of October, followed with a strong schedule of programming targeting ABC1 Adults including Jamie Oliver’s new show on the 30th.
