The Weekly Address #02

Riddles, Rails, and Rio

Welcome back. Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. If you’re here for the first time, you’re reading our new inspiration blog (the first post’s here). It’s brief, fun, creative work to inspire your great ideas, and it starts now.

Here’s a brain-teaser to wake you up. This chilling animation brings life to the dialogue between guessers and their riddler (not the Batman villain). It’s rather gripping storytelling, extra points if you can you guess the answer before they do.

On a lighter note, Nike teamed up with Dutch artist Piet Parra to design the French, Brazilian, and American olympic skateboarding uniforms. Naturally, the kit’s are inspired by the countries, so Brazil’s is also inspired by FOOTBALL. Why not? Convention’s so boring.

This next one’s just bloody awesome if you live in, or absolutely love London – we do. It’s a short film by Oliver Astrologo that captures everyday London scenes with excellent cinematography. Judge for yourselves but we want this man on our tourism board ASAP.

Seeing a band perform in their music video is pretty standard. What you don’t see everyday, is a band performing from the perspective of a toy train in the room (we’re assuming ‘fly on the wall’ wasn’t quite their thing). Rethinking the simple things people, it works.

And that’s it. We would share a lot more, but you’ve got ideas to make now. We’ll be back next week though – that’s a promise.
