Friends, Faces, and Fascinations

Well, hello. Following a few weeks in self-isolation, the Weekly Address is back with more wondrous creative inspiration.

First up – how’s about an uplifting queer puppet short? “Reach the Sky” is a stop-motion love letter to the LGBTQ community. A group of crochet doll friends have an adventure, meet new companions and break some clichés along the way. You’re going to love it:

Can’t escape the voices in your head? Well at least you don’t have two larger-than-life talking breasts to contend with. Animator Caitlin Young wanted to make a film about the immense pressure faced by women to conform to Westernised standards of beauty.
