Beers and Cheers to No Tiers

We’re back! The kids are in school again and the road out of lockdown seems clearer than ever. It’s great to be up and running with another Weekly Address for you, our dear friends. This one’s on treats to look forward to and memories we’ll leave behind. Enjoy.

So we know pubs open up again on the 12th of April, but with Easter weekend coming just before, the desire for chocolate eggs and beers are bound to be sky high next month. Perfect opportunity for Cadbury’s Creme Eggs to celebrate its “Golden Goo-bilee,” – that’s ‘50th anniversary’ in Cadbury speak – with a limited edition Creme Egg-inspired beer. You read that right. We don’t know what to make of the brew, but we’ll certainly try it.

Speaking of pubs and key dates until lockdown freedom, surely you’ve heard of ‘One way road to beer? For the beer lovers who’ve been under a rock, (don’t blame you, not the best of times) there’s a glorious site counting down the days until you can legally drink beer in parks, pubs, gardens and more. It’s certainly been keeping us going.

The pandemic never saw supermarkets shut down in the UK (thank goodness). However, after seeing this piece of creative for Omega Mart in Las Vegas, we’re not so sure we would go there if we had to…or maybe we would’ve? It’s hard to tell. It’s equally intriguing and terrifying. Check it out:

Lastly, going back to our offices will mean different things to different people. However, if 2020 has taught us one thing, it’s that a lot of us really didn’t need to put up with the stress printers induced for many years before. Writer and comedian Stevie Martin illustrated the struggles we all knew way too well in this hilarious sketch:
