The Weekly Address #20

Guinness, Games, and Greenpeace

Hello friends. Another week calls for another weekly address. This one’s full of good causes. So before we all dive back into our lively schedules, take a quick moment to enjoy these brilliant bits of creative genius.

In case you missed it, Guinness made a pretty cool film to announce their pledge to support pubs with £30 million. ‘Welcome Back’ celebrates the drink’s iconic look in a bunch of clever places. It’s a great spot.

City of Wasteminster? Last year, Greenpeace visualised the effect our 2020 behaviours could have on our 2030 reality with spectacular posters. This year they’re back with an impressive animation to show the amount of actual rubbish the UK unloads on other nations. Spoiler: It’s colossal.

With knife crime on the rise, FIFA featured Kiyan Prince as a player for Queens Park Rangers in their latest video game. Kiyan was a 15 year old QPR youth team player who was murdered before realising his dream of playing for the senior team. It’s all so bittersweet.

Lastly, and on a lighter note, let’s head across the pond for more gaming creativity. Verizon’s latest 5G ad asks gamers to refuse to live a life with lag. It’s simple, easy to get, and sends a strong message. We love it.

Thanks for stopping by again. Enjoy that bank holiday.
